About us
Founded in Turin during the post-war years by Tommaso Serra, Torneria Serra was established to provide tool and die equipment. Over time and thanks to the constant commitment of the son Carlo, the company has gradually modified its core business by shifting towards manufacturing a large series of lathed and milled workpieces for the automotive, household appliance and industrial markets. Now, arrived at the third generation, Torneria Serra has strengthened and extended its position in the automotive field, standing as a trusted partner for OEMs and Car manufacturers.
A constant growth that led the company to produce about 30 million workpieces per year, thus consuming about 6.000 tons of raw material.
Facilities
The company has two manufacturing plants in Poirino, near Turin. The main production plant has been expanded several times, reaching the actual covered 12.000sqm where 120 people work.
The construction of specific machines, maintenance activities and the inspection of production machinery is realized in the second plant of about 2.000sqm, recently renewed.
Environment and Security
Torneria Serra pays great attention to the environmental protection, health and security of its employees and visitors.
The effort is addressed to dedicate resources for the continuous improvement of environmental performances and safety in the workplace. Reducing CO2 emissions, waste management, recycling as well as staff training and improvement of safety equipment of the machinery, are just some of the activities aimed to pursue the goal of sustainable development.
We prioritize this aspect with the addition of UNI EN ISO 14001 e OHSAS 18001certifications.
Quality System
Torneria Serra is fully accredited to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. We are totally committed to quality, both in terms of workpieces produced and the overall service to our customers.
Torneria Serra pays great attention to the qualitative monitoring of production and relies on the use of a centralized system aimed at the process of statistical control.
The method of improvement is continuously monitored both internally and by external Authorities.
